George E. Hardart, MD, MPH is Assistant Professor of Clinical Pediatrics at Columbia University’s College of Physicians and Surgeons. He is a member of the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at the Morgan Stanley’s Children’s Hospital and serves on the Columbia University Medical Center’s Pediatric Ethics Committee. His research examines the role of families and family interests in medical decision-making. He is also interested in pediatric end-of-life care, the ethics of living related organ donation, and the allocation of scarce resources.
